Step Three: 33 Hour PRIDE Training Weekend
After you have been accepted in to our ministry, the next step is to sign up for Antioch Adoptions PRIDE weekend training class. This is a pre-requisite to all of Antioch Adoptions classes.
PRIDE is held through out the year and is offered in a retreat format. This class is all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and requires adoptive families (both) to commit to clear their weekend and attend the entire weekend with out any distractions from their busy lives! If you have children in your home you will need to find care for them, this is a weekend for adults only! You will be grouped with 14 other families who love the Lord and have the same passion to answer the call of the orphan. You will become each others support through the adoption process. Light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided. Dinner is a time for you to fellowship together with your fellow classmates on your own.
At this weekend training you will receive PRIDE Homework and Adoptive Homestudy Homework which must be completed before a caseworker can be assigned to complete your homestudy.
This weekend is full of deep spiritual sharing and covering. Prayer and the Word of God is a vital and driving part of the training weekend.
