Antioch Adoptions has a total annual budget of almost $500,000. This budget is to cover the cost of a staff of 7 full time employees who work diligently to recruit, train, and license families and then walk together through the adoption process once a child is placed in their home. Antioch Adoptions staff places, on average, 40 children each year and spend many hours ministering to couples, children, and birth parents. We have two annual fundraisers per year and a handful of faithful monthly supporters, many of which take advantage of their employer's matching dollars. We have also been blessed in the past with one time large donations from generous individuals and foundations. In the last few years, however, we have seen a decline in donations and believe that part of the reason is due to the sluggish economy. So we thought of a fundraising campaign that would be simple for individuals to commit to, but would have a HUGE impact on our ability to continue the work of this ministry. We figured out that if we found 958 committed donors to give $15 per month, we would be able to cover the salaries and work related expenses (mileage and phones) of all of our social workers! We would stabilize the incoming funds on a monthly basis and then could use the funds raised by the annual fundraisers to cover the other costs such as office supplies and equipment, administrative staff, and other indirect costs of operating Antioch Adoptions. This would be a HUGE blessing to us and will enable us to continue the work of finding forever families for our orphans right here in the Northwest! 75%-80% of our placements come through the foster-adopt program so your donations do indeed go toward finding a mom and dad for orphans in our community! So $15 per month DOES make an eternal impact on the life of a child! Please consider signing up and please tell all of your family and friends!
